In 2018, we can still see many of the similarities between the original PXXX meaning of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and our current state of politics in the United States.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is something that has stuck around for more than a century. But because it was published in 1900, what has made it last this long in American culture? Why is it still being reproduced?

I think that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a story about believing in something that will pay off. As Americans, we want so desperately for our hard work to pay off.

Oz is another important element to our culture. His abilities are not legitimate but still so many people and characters believe that he is capable of healing all of their problems.
